Boca Raton has some amazing attractions out there. Check out this article about amazing things to do in Boca Raton.
Boca Raton Golf Course

Boca Raton is a city that has much to do. So whether you're in the mood for some upscale shopping, dining, or relaxation, the City for All Seasons has it all. We'll list several attractions Boca Raton has that you won't want to miss in this post.

Go to Mizner Park

When you’re in any city, you’ll want to visit its downtown area, and this sentiment applies even further for Boca Raton. Mizner Park is the downtown area with dozens of upscale dining, shopping, and entertainment options. Mizner Park even includes a downtown outdoor amphitheater. Named after the founder of Boca Raton, Addison Mizner, Mizner Park has a gorgeous Mediterranean-style design that few downtown areas have.

Established in 1991, Mizner Park has not been around for that long in Boca Raton's history, but it's becoming an iconic part that's worth visiting.

Visit Some of their Museums

Whether you're living in Boca Raton or are visiting, it's worth it to read about the city's history. Boca Raton has several museums worth seeing. One is the Boca Raton History Museum, which has an iconic gold dome. The museum offers a rotating list of exhibits that illustrate the history of Boca Raton, and it includes a 40-minute guided tour as well.

Unfortunately, one iconic museum that has been temporarily closed since 2019 is the Boca Raton Children's Museum. This museum included interactive exhibits designed to teach children about history and help them with adult activities such as banking and delivering mail. It was initially supposed to reopen in spring 2020, but it's yet to reopen as of this posting.

For the time being, one open place is the Children's Science Explorium, a science center that your kids won't want to miss. With so many interactive exhibits, your kid will love it.

The Wick Theatre and Costume Museum is for you if you love theater. You can take a reserved tour of their costume museum, then watch a show with a good meal and drinks included. You won't want to miss this one.

Finally, if you're looking for a traditional art museum, the Boca Raton Museum of Art has over 4,500 pieces you won't want to miss.

Check out the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center

Looking for a fun nature center to check out populated by some animals native to Florida including sharks and iguanas? Then check out the Gumbo Limbo nature center.

This is located near the northern part of Red Reef Park and contains over 20 acres of sanctuary that visitors can explore.

They even offer kayaking through the mangroves of the trail that’s there, and also offer a boardwalk for those interested in walking.

They have a variety of animals here including the red-bellied woodpecker and grey fox.

You can also check out the aquarium and butterfly gardens this place, and if you’re really interested in seeing some cool animals, you can check out the sea turtle rehabilitation facility located nearby. This has some marine biology in action!

Their Beaches and Parks are Unmatched

If you want to awe nature and get away from society, then Boca Raton has plenty of parks and beaches to help with that.

One example is Red Reef Park, which has a beach where you can fish, snorkel, and surf. Red Reef also includes foliage where a variety of birds are visible. This park has over 67 acres of oceanfront for you to check out, and also includes the Gumbo Limbo nature center. Red Reef park is also the best location to snorkel in Boca Raton, so for snorkeling enthusiasts, this place has you covered.

Another park worth visiting is Spanish River Park. If you’re looking for a lagoon with nature trails, beautiful sights, and access to beaches, then you’ve come to the right place. This place also includes a sandy seaside retreat perfect for everyone, and it even includes a zipline on the property itself. The water is a beautiful turquoise blue, which makes it even more inviting for many of its visitors.

For another beach, you can visit South Beach Park. This beach works well if you want a more traditional beach experience.

Finally, for a park that has virtually everything, there is Sugar Sand Park. Want to ride the carousel? This place has it. Want to hike some cool nature trails? They’ve got it covered. This place even includes an underwater-themed playground with winding tunnels and fun climbing structures. This place has over 132 acres to check out, with a ton of options to choose from, so go ahead, spend the day out here, you won’t regret it.

See Their Nightlife

If you’re a night owl, what are your options in Boca Raton? Fortunately, you have a lot. Boca Raton is not a town that goes to bed after 8 PM. One example is Cosmo’s Nightclub and Lounge, which is open from Wednesday to Sunday from 8 PM to 2 AM.

If you are seeking a more traditional Irish pub, O'Brian's is one you don't want to miss. With affordable drinks and an atmosphere open seven days a week from lunchtime until 2 AM, this pub is one you won't want to miss.

For cigar lovers, Diplomat Cigar Lounge is there to smoke you up, and it’s open until midnight.

The Funky Biscuit is another incredible location for late-night bites, having southern-style food with live music every night, open until 2 AM.

Take a Dip a Coconut Cove

If you have family, another great place is Coconut Cove Waterpark. From slides to lazy rivers and so much more, here is something for everyone.

Couples can also laze around the poolside area while the kids go and play on the playground.

It’s not massive, but with how cozy it is, it’s a fun little place worth checking out.

See the Butterflies at Butterfly World

Love butterflies? Then you’ll enjoy this one.

This is a very unique attraction that lets you face-to-face with beautiful butterflies.

The place is a serene butterfly garden coupled with sweet classical music, trickling falls, and the scent of fresh flowers. There are over 20,000 species living in the gardens alone, so there’s no shortage of butterflies and wildlife to check out.

It isn’t just butterflies either, you can see lorikeets that you can feed, macaws that scream at you, and so many other fun creatures.

With over 30 years of experience, this place is perfect for those looking to see some amazing wildlife in Boca Raton, and also learn more about the animals in the area.
