Now for something different. A Lennar development in 2019 and 2020 offered prospective buyers luxury homes for sale in Parkland Bay, a mixture of Spanish, Mediterranean, and Italian architecture. The "Bay" part of Parkland Bay in Parkland slots in perfectly with the community's signature feature - South Florida's most expansive lake, a massive 178-acre stretch of shimmering water. The latter's integration with flourishing tropical vegetation, palms, and other indigenous trees creates breathtaking water/foliage vistas from backyards and other vantage points in the guardhouse-secure community. The long lake views from the best-positioned single-family residences are beyond stunning, comparable to any Intracoastal location. The Parkland Bay theme connects perfectly with the phrase, "water, water, everywhere." 

Before we get to the models themselves, let's look at the amenities inserted into the project for families purchasing single family homes for sale in Parkland Bay. The $538 monthly HOA fees provide for:

  • A 16,000-square-foot clubhouse featuring a contemporary-styled grand lobby featuring a café, a pavilion/bar, and a meeting room.
  • A fitness center with a sauna and yoga studio.

Although the development is late vintage, there are numerous houses on the MLS, and a few have closed for the second time. The models streaming through are three to six-bedroom accommodations starting at 2,254 square feet (under air) and going as high as 6,632 square feet. The appointments varied according to the construction collections Lennar provided, titled Estate, Executive, Classic, and Waterfront. At the time, prices ranged between $180 and $230 per square foot. However, they have escalated to the point where the lowest valuation is at $250 (for a dry lot residence) to approximately $400 per square foot (under air) for a house with a long lake view. The latter appreciation rate matches the hot markets in South Florida that hit soon after the development sold out. 
 
Thus, depending on size, absolute prices start over $1 million and cap at $2.4 million. So what can you expect on the highest end of interior finishes? How about the following:
