To fully appreciate the joys of living in South Florida, one must embrace the boating lifestyle.
Yachting in Florida

Owning a motor yacht affords you a way to spend time in each of Florida's coastal communities without having to stay in hotels or purchase a weekend condo. Be it a quick weekend getaway to South Beach or a month-long stay in the keys, living aboard your yacht is the ultimate way to go.

We have selected a few notable Yacht Clubs on the southeast coast of Florida that you may enjoy visiting, or perhaps one of these communities can serve as your home base.

  1. Royal Palm Yacht Club, Boca Raton

Royal Palm Yacht Club is the premier waterfront golf community in Boca Raton. It is located adjacent to the world-famous Boca Raton Resort (recently renamed The Boca Raton) along the Intracoastal waterway. Approximately one-third of the Royal Palm Yacht Club homes have Deepwater access, allowing you to dock your yacht behind your house. Alternatively, over 50 community docks at the yacht club are available for rent to members of the club. Homeownership in Royal Palm Yacht Club does not require, and conversely, does it entitle you to membership in the country club. Joining the club requires sponsorship by existing members.

  2. Coral Ridge Yacht Club, Fort Lauderdale

Known as the world's yachting capital, Fort Lauderdale is home to numerous marinas, yacht clubs, communities, and high-rise condos that cater to the yachting lifestyle. The Coral Ridge community spans the western side of the Intracoastal waterway between Oakland Park Blvd and Sunrise Blvd. It offers a wide array of housing options, many of which have deep water access and can accommodate large motor yachts.

  3. Ocean Reef Club, Key Largo

A self-contained oasis that is so close yet so far away, Ocean Reef Club is located approximately 50 miles south of Miami in Key Largo. Although it is just about a 1-hour drive, most visitors of Ocean Reef Club arrive either by boat or by private aircraft. The community boasts a state-of-the-art marina with floating docks, which is open to members and guests sponsored by an existing member. Golf, tennis, private airport, dining, and fitness facilities are just some of the outstanding amenities this community offers.

  4. Williams Island, Aventura

This ultra-luxury enclave of homes and luxury condos is located on an 84-acre island in the heart of Aventura. The Williams Island Marina offers over one hundred slips and can accommodate vessels as large as 160 feet in length with a maximum draft of 7 feet.

  5. Boca Marina Yacht Club, Boca Raton

Boca Marina is a small gated community of residential homes and townhomes. Every home in Boca Marina has Deepwater access. The community also has guest docks and pump-out stations that can be used on a first-come, first-serve basis free of charge for yachts visiting residents in the community.

  6. Yacht & Racquet Club, Boca Raton

A private condominium community on the barrier island in Boca Raton with a private, 78 slip marina able to accommodate vessels up to 55 feet in length and a maximum draft of 6 feet. Slips are assigned to condo unit owners at a cost significantly lower than one would expect to pay at a commercial marina.

  7. Seagate Yacht Club, Delray Beach

Located along the Intracoastal Waterway, south of Atlantic Ave in Delray Beach, Seagate Yacht Club is a 44 slip marina that can accommodate vessels up to 120 feet in length. For more information about The Seagate Hotel, The Seagate Country Club, or Beach Club, please visit The Seagate Delray.

  8. Jupiter Yacht Club, Jupiter

A condominium community on the Intracoastal waterway in Jupiter where each of the 79 slips are individually owned. The Jupiter Yacht Club Marina website lists the available slips along with each owner's contact information and advises you to make arrangements directly.

  9. Sunset Harbour Yacht Club, Miami Beach

An equity membership club in the heart of South Beach, Sunset Harbour Yacht Club offers condominium and boat slip ownership. There are 125 slips and can accommodate vessels up to 150 feet in length. Slip owners can participate in the marina rental program to generate revenue from their dock.
