Before focusing on Regency Tower South condos for sale emerging from a twenty-story coastal Mediterranean architectural structure - 1,050 and 2,380 square feet under air (UA) - we want to address confusion around identifying this community. Sometimes it appears as 3750 Ocean Drive; others call it Regency Towers (plural). Only occasionally is it written up as Regency South - its original title. But, notably, everyone agrees a close neighbor on the same latitude line is Regency Tower (singular). So, here's how we've unraveled it: 

  • When "Regency Towers" pops up, it refers to the two sister constructions as a pair - Regency Tower South and Regency Tower (built one year apart in 1970 and 1969, respectively).
  • Accommodations and floors are practically identical, exacerbating the confusion. 
  • Both are on N. Ocean Drive; Regency Tower South's address is 3750, and Regency Tower is 3850.

When there's frenetic development activity in a popular area, it can result in investors and prospective buyers misreading the scenario. Thus, it’s vital to create clarity when reviewing opportunities on the Galt Ocean Mile (GOM) - a unique coastal section embracing the two projects described above. Indeed, condo seekers rely on professional Realtors to decipher the differences between communities and highlight their differences, which we are doing here. So, with the "Regency murkiness" now put to rest, let's talk about Regency South (offering one to three-bedroom and one to two-bathroom accommodations) specifically.

It's on the Galt Mile, a short distance northeast of Downtown Fort Lauderdale - a narrow real estate footprint east of N. Ocean Drive (i.e., the A1A). Galt Mile alternatives converge on those opportunities that fit budgets between $500,000 and $800,000, which we have separated as being (of course) the sister community Regency Tower and the following:

We suggest omitting hotel-condos Ocean Manor (offering fractional units at close to $1,000 a square foot that suits mainly investors) and Il Lugano Residences - a high-end condo-hotel of only twenty-three owner condos erected in 2007 on the Intracoastal (not the ocean). Then, L'Hermitage (the latest vintage traditional community) is a viable option but the MLS listings in 2025 range between $1 million and $2 million. We can also take you through enclaves built in the 1950s and early 1960s comfortably under the $500,000 mark, like Edgewater Arms, Playa del Mar, and Royal Ambassador (to mention a few of many).
