Buyers interested in homes for sale in The Fountains Country Club enter the community after years of angst and in-fighting over the thirty-six-hole private golf course and country club with five-star amenities at its center. Unfortunately, club facility maintenance sometimes becomes unaffordable if the model focuses on exclusivity for the residents on campus. So, finally, in 2018, mandatory membership of the country club ended for all residents as it changed hands with a professional country club management entity, Concert Golf Partners. The latter wasted no time in opening the membership far and wide. Notably, Concert also acquired Indian Spring in Boynton on a comparable basis. Simultaneously, GL Homes entered the picture, eventually buying forty-six acres from the new country club owners for a reputed $12 million to construct 470 townhomes on selected course sections. 

The one thing the sale could not take from the residents was the 865 spectacular landscaped acres featuring winding lakes and stunning South Florida foliage from end to end of the development. Robert Von Hagge and Bruce Devlin, renowned links architects, designed the course with multiple unique features enhanced by meticulous landscaping. As a result, buyers of The Fountains homes for sale immediately connect with an unmistakable country club feel and nature connection.

The southern part of the complex comprises 1,763 condos, villas, townhomes, and single-family homes constructed within 19 subdivisions called courts. On the north side, there are 1,258 similar households in nine courts, making this a massive community of over 3,000 units (two- to five-bedroom models ranging from 1,320 to 3,394 sqft under air). The residences emerged progressively from 1983 through the next twenty-one years to 2004. With GL Homes in the mix, expect new construction homes to appear.

As one can imagine, with such a broad construction timeline, MLS prices vary considerably. Also, position on the campus (e.g., long lake views price higher) or upgrades like replaced roofs, integrated high-impact windows and doors, and new air-con systems figure into the equation. It gets even more complicated when you consider that many sellers on the MLS offer all or some of the following:

  • The latest in marble countertops and full graphite splashbacks.
  • Wooden floors, stainless steel fitted appliances, and customized cabinetry,
  • Recessed lighting.
  • Floating vanities.
  • Smart-home technologies. 

Thus, unsurprisingly, in our 2025 evaluation of The Fountains Lake Worth, we noted prices ranged between $270 and $359 per sq ft (UA) - an $89 variance, translating to $178,000 on an average unit in the community.
