Who owns Trump National golf course? It depends on when you asked that question. The Ritz Carlton held it from 2002 to 2012, when ex-President Donald J. Trump bought it from them. Now, for a twist in the tail. The owners of golf course homes are not mandatory members but, instead, fall under a Private Property association (POA) calling itself Eagle Tree Jupiter - separate and distinct from the country club - the golf course and all the amenities attached to it. Thus it runs independently with its own board of directors. 

It sounds clear-cut, but not quite. First, many luxury homes for sale in Trump National Golf Club often include golf membership as an incentive, with the initiation fee (non-refundable) of  $350,000 included in the price. That said, would the asking price be that much less without it? Secondly, it doesn't let the buyer off the hook for annual dues ($27,000 annually).

Trump National Golf Club Membership

So, can you play Trump National golf course? The answer is it's a private golf course, and owning a home on campus makes it available but not mandatory. If you elect not to take up the full membership, then, no, you can't play golf there (or use any of the facilities without a social membership). But, of course, nobody can stop you from living on campus. Suffice it to say; most residents have at least a social affiliation based on the country clubs incredible stature, facilities, and convenience.

For those who do opt for the Membership to the Trump National Golf Club, they can also enjoy reciprocal privilages at Mar-A-Lago and at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach.

As Realtors showing prospects for one of the 132 residences, the first question we hear is, "How many acres is Trump National?" Two hundred eighty-five acres, comprising rolling green fairways maintained immaculately, designed to make the best of winding waterways, palms, and thick, flourishing foliage. Thus, the 30 estate homes, 20 golf villas, 32 courtyard homes, and 50 fractional ownership properties (ranging in size from 2,000 to 6,000 square feet under air) look out at spectacular vistas of water, vividly colored fauna and flora, and wildlife preserves. As a neighbor of Jack Nicklaus' Bear's Club, the combined landscape stamps the city as a golfing mecca second to none.

The residence construction followed Tuscan or Caribbean architectural influences, emerging around 2004, with top-grade gourmet kitchens, granite on the countertops, outdoor kitchens, spa-inspired bathrooms, and private backyard swimming pools. However, it was too early for high-impact windows, and let's face it, many of the features (stunning then) may look a little dated in 2023 (i.e., the date of writing this). Still, many sellers have installed substantial upgrades like onyx, imported marble, engineered wood, and space-age metals on newly remodeled cabinetry, large islands, floors, and other surfaces. Also, you may find designer lighting, new air conditioning, hurricane-proof integrated sliders and windows, spa bathrooms, and more.

Pricing of Trump National Jupiter Homes

Indeed, only three homes for sale in Trump National changed hands in 2023: One at over $1,000 a square foot (UA), another at $800, and the third at nearly $900. These were all mansions over 5,000 square feet (UA) with $4 million plus prices. From another angle, a $220 per square foot (UA) price gap signifies:

• A variance in vintage, vistas, and level of upgrades

• Around $1,400,000 negotiating room for an estate home.

Trump National Jupiter Location

Located in Jupiter next door to Bear's Club between Donald Ross Road and Frederick Small Road, residents in this golf community are only five miles from the high-end Gardens Mall, three times that distance from Palm Beach International Airport (KPBI) in West Palm Beach, and a bike ride to Juno Beach. In addition, the I-95 makes getting to Downtown West Palm Beach extensive commercial infrastructure, Worth Avenue outlets, and Clematis Street entertainment a cinch. In a nutshell, excellent schools (see below), clinics, supermarkets, watersports, boat docking, parks, Intracoastal trails, ATMs, coffee shops, and more are seamlessly accessible.
