Unfortunately, many residences constructed in the 1980s and 90s lack modern hurricane protection windows and doors. Also, you won't find contemporary architecture (currently taking Boca by storm) in some luxury communities. But, then again, the price points in the latter are substantially higher. However, if interested, we know the ins and outs of these developments intimately. Some homeowners have renovated and upgraded but don't expect much. We suggest you do your due diligence before signing on the dotted line.
Boca Country Club HOA Fees
Homeowners enjoy a 24/7/365 guard gated community, common area maintenance, and spectacular lake and fairway vistas complemented by tropical foliage for the low HOA fee of around $350 payable monthly. In contrast, the CCs mentioned above require over $100,000 equity payment on buying (non-refundable) and about $5000 monthly for a package that's significantly different from this.
